Deploying Backup for Hyper-V Virtual Machines

1. Go to https://cloud.acronis.com and enter in your login details. (You should have received these in your Acronis activation email. Email is created and sent when contract is set up)
2. Click on Manage Service

3. Click on ‘Add Devices’

4. Click on the ‘Hyper-V’ to download the agent.

5. Run the ‘Cyber Protect Agent for Hyper-V’ and install it on your Hyper-V host.

6. Once the agent has finished installing you will now need to register the machine. Now Click on ‘Register the machine’. Click on ‘show registration info’ to get your device token. 

7. Enter your device registration token in to the box and click on ‘check code’. Once your code is verified, select ‘register device’.

8. Once the page has refreshed you should now see a ‘Hyper-V’ tab under devices down the left-hand side. Click on Hyper-V, then you should see a list of all the virtual machines. Select the Virtual Machine you wish to back up and click on Protect down the right-hand side. 

9. You will now be taken to the page to create a backup plan as below. Please refer to the following article for more information regarding backup plans.
